Stacking Legal Bales
Stacking a trailer load of conventional bales would be easy if
all the bales were exactly the same length. However, anyone who
has ever spent a couple of hours trying to make 500 New Holland
bales fit together will tell you that life is never that simple.
The ultimate goal is to finish the stack in such a way that it leaves
no clues as to how you managed to make all those odd shaped bales
fit together. They should all look the same in the end.
To most people, the legal profession can also look like a finished
stack of bales where it is hard to distinguish between different
solicitors – we all look the same don't we? McKinnells are
different in that we take the view that to understand farming law
you first have to understand farming. As no two farms are alike,
there can never be a ‘one size fits all’ legal service
for agriculture.
It is virtually impossible to find two farmers who have exactly
the same amount of land, or the same head of cattle, the same types
of crops or the same yields? Some farmers are doing well, others
have problems. It's not easy to tell which is which from the outside.
The team at McKinnells Land has vast experience in the farming
industry dealing with issues from land conveyancing to contract
agreements, from financial disputes to succession planning and are
proud to play a leading role in the agricultural community as part
of our ongoing commitment to the Lincolnshire Machinery Ring (LMR).
We hold regular free seminars in association with LMR on new legislation
and changes in the law that could have an impact on the day to day
running of your business.
Many of our legal team are from farming families themselves and
are on hand to discuss matters and offer advice. Even if you just
need a hand sorting out that dodgy baler.
